The premises cannot be secured. Usually caused by motor or control failure, a broken chain or a curtain that has bound in the guides. Treat it as urgent — the opening is unsecured until the shutter closes or is made safe.
Request a repairTrading or deliveries stop entirely. Common causes are seized bearings, a snapped spring, damaged bottom rail or a locked-out motor after an overload. Repeated attempts to force it usually worsen the damage.
